Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s theme is Bookish Websites/Blogs! I feel like it should go without saying but I am deliberately not listing anything like Goodreads because it is so ubiquitous in book culture that it feels pretty redundant to include it in this list.
Book Riot – Book Riot is probably one of the first bookish podcasts that I listened to. I haven’t listened to much of the other podcasts under them but Book Riot Podcast is one of my favorite. Rebecca and Jeff talk a lot of industry in the book world which is something that I don’t see many other places and I love how analytical they get. The Book Riot website also has a lot of articles and lists that are fun to browse as well but I am there for the podcast.
Kay Villoso’s Blog – The blog of K.S. Villoso is one of the few author blogs that I follow. I know of several authors that maintain a blog as well but I really appreciate how deep and introspective Kay is in her blog.
The Fantasy Inn – Aside from some fantastic reviews, this is also the home to Hiu Gregg’s The Cabbage Chronicles, which is the best example of a journalism there is.
Nerd Book Review – Yup, another bookish podcast! Their reviews are incredibly informative and the main host, Cameron, has interviewed many authors including several from SPFBO 2017.
Mogsy @ The Bibliosanctum – Mogsy is one of the first reviewers that I followed before I had my own blog. She reads so many of the same books that I love and puts out awesome reviews for them. I most especially like her reviews for sci fi books because I tend more towards fantasy and her reviews help me find some good sci fi when I am looking for something different.
Novel Notions – This is a blog run recently started by Petrik and Celeste. I am going to start sounding like a broken record but I love their reviews. Almost every time a review goes up on their blog, I end up adding something to my TBR.
Meltotheany – Melanie is one of the actual sweetest people out there and I love her reviews and posts. Our tastes in books diverge sometimes but I still love to read all her reviews purely because of her fantastic energy.
Book Twitter – Okay so I might be cheating a bit here. I have heard so many stories of toxicity in BookTube and Book Twitter but, weirdly, I haven’t come across any of it. When there is some crazy BS, like a romance indie author and her asshole ridiculous attempts to get attention, all I see is people coming together. When there is not BS going on, I mostly see authors and bloggers and readers supporting each other and I love it.
Of course there are several other bloggers whose work I check out every now and then but these are my absolute favorites that I make sure to check regularly.
What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
I hadn’t heard of any of the sites on your list. It’s cool when that happens. I will be checking all of them out. :)
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

Book Twitter is a mess sometimes, but I love it. When people aren’t being messy, they can be funny and helpful.
